Korvik was born within the cold yet comforting walls of Reza, however he knew not of his birth parents. His first memories were of the the dark gates of the orphanage as a shadowy figure loomed over him before vanishing. He had few friends within the walls of the orphanage itself, however on occasion, Korvik would sneak out of the orphanage to go try and get some actual food as the food at the orphanage was rather subpar and “icky”. He tried farming, however he grew impatient with the slow speed and his lack of knowledge. He turned to hunting as a means of providing good meat for the orphanage. Well, it was as much hunting as it was an 8 year old chasing after pigs with a stick. Villagers outside the walls of Reza noticed and the hunters offered to show him how to shoot a bow. For the next four years, Korvik would head out of the orphanage to keep learning how to hunt until he finally scored his first kill. He would come back with various meats for the chef of the orphanage, until he was eventually allowed to just go at will between the field and the orphanage. The hunts were not all beneficial however, when he would return from a hunt, he would return covered in mud, blood, and sweat. He was a very unappealing choice for adoption. One by one, his friends would come and go from the orphanage, he eventually found himself without any, and in turn was merely the food delivery kid.
By the age of 18, Korvik became too old for anyone to want to adopt, but he was allowed to continue helping the orphanage from time to time, but now he was homeless, living upon the streets of Reza, still going out to hunt for the orphanage but they were unable to pay with Minas, merely gratitude. At last, at the age of 22, Korvik turned in his last donation of food for the time being, proclaiming to go around Arcas in search of more exquisite hunts with even more rewarding meats. Before his departure, the orphanage decided to disclose with him the circumstances of his lot. They explained that he came from a line of highlanders called Kaedrin. His family fled Gaekrin after a nasty plague known as Zitoun’s Plague in Aeldin. However, they were not able to sustain themselves outside of the kingdom. They said there was no work available and they couldn’t sustain the child on the way, so when Korvik was born, he was given to the orphanage to try and have a good start to his life. Korvik nodded his head, he logically understood the sacrifice they had to make, though deep down he still felt bitter about it regardless. He thanked them for telling him and with a farewell, he departed in search of the great hunt, and to find out what became of his parents.

Krovik walks up to the man and pats his shoulder with a smirk on his face “I’m in search of glorious hunts, beasts that can supply the finest meats. And perhaps in search of some wealth in the meantime to fund it all. Don’t suppose you’ve any change my good man?”
