Living in the outer woods surrounding Haense, Joseph Nosk lived with his Father William Nosk.
His Mother died during childbirth and so Joseph's father was left to raise his son alone. His father was a hunter by trade so Joseph grew up sleeping in tents by warm campfires and ate whatever he and his father caught. Because of these circumstances, Joseph was taught how to Hunt using the tools his father used. A bow, a dagger, and some arrows. As the years went by he started to show talent with a bow and dagger so his father decided to challenge Joseph. On his 14th birthday his father told him that every morning from now on he would have to hit a target his father gave him and that if he didn't he wasn't allowed to eat breakfast. At first the targets were branches, pieces of fallen logs, and small rodents. Over time however these targets started to become animals of specific size. Eventually these animals got bigger, Nastier, and Scarier. Most Hunters would probably have failed these daily challenges but not Joseph. He kept getting better and going for bigger prey. Even after his father had stopped giving him targets, Joseph would set out to find even bigger game. By the time Joseph was 19, He had amounted a large collection of trophies consisting of claws, teeth, Paws, Feathers, and Tails from creatures people thought were to difficult to kill, let alone hunt. He was become a good hunter.

While coming into town one day buy some ale on his 20th birthday, Joseph spotted a group of bandits attacking a caravan. While hiding with his bow, Joseph was able to dispatch 2 bandits before they ran away. He then approached the caravan to make sure that they were alright. The Caravan driver, who went by the name Mr. Bently, thanked Joseph profusely and then went on his way. Some time later when Joseph arrived at The Dancing Crow Inn, he spotted the caravan driver again. After a bit of drink and discussion with the man, Joseph discovered that this wasn't an isolated incident, and that these specific bandits had been harassing this man for 10 weeks now. Joseph, believing in his Capabilities as a hunter, offered to kill the bandits. Mr. Bently took him up on and the next day Joseph went out to find the bandits. He ended up finding their campground where he started to dispatch them one by one, using the cover of night to his advantage. After killing them all, he cut off their ears as signs of their death and brought them back to Mr. Bently. When Joseph returned home to his campground that evening, his father was nowhere to be seen. Instead there was a note and a sword.

Word gets around fast.

Good job on taking care of those bandits. Makes me

realize its probably time I give you your final Target.

If you're such a great hunter then come find your old man.

But before you do, you had better learn to use that sword I gave you.

Oh and find some friends too you weirdo.
I'll see you soon. Unless an OwlBear kills me.

- William Nosk
