Lilrisanne was raised in Aegrothrond, from a very young age she was trained in the arts by her parents, Thaerok and Filreisha. They have also trained her in horse riding. She was trained especially well in the sword, as her parents considered swordplay to be the highest and most exquisite of all arts and that all great swordsmen should be considered some of the greatest artists as well. She did not have many friends and was considered to be antisocial by many dark elven children. When she was 30, she also received minor training in archery, although, unlike the sword, she had no passion for archery nor did she have any innate skills in that aspect of warfare. Besides that, she also begun actively preparing to embark on her quest to become the greatest modern dark elven swordmaster. She prepared physically and had extensive martial arts training during this period, as well as gaining expert knowledge in modern history and philosophy. When she was 40 she first left home with the blessings of her parents to seek adventure and in her travels she met many a swordmaster whom she asked to share their wisdom with her, often successfully.
She also met with the Orennians Joe and Humphrey whom she greatly admired and considered to be some of the better representatives of the human species. They seemed intelligent and decisive, and she did consider Joe to be beautiful, although she never admitted to admiring him. Although seeming to be law-abiding citizens, she considered Joe and Humphrey to be her tutors in the arts of stealth and discreetness. Lilrisanne then spent 40 years in her travels as well as ultimately fruitless attempts at becoming a skilled archer, in her travels she has come to mistrust other elves as they seemed to be untrustworthy and conniving to her, unlike humans who she considered to be much more interesting.
In 37 SA she witnessed the events of the Silver War, where she attempted to save an elven child from a collapsing building, however, a cavalryman begun into her and the child, taking her for a warrior participating in the battle on account of her sword, as she screamed “Bring me battle, ruffian!” and attempted to parry his lance, she misdirected her parry and drove the sharp point of the cavalryman’s lance into the boy, killing the child; while simultaneously running into Lilrisanne with his armoured horse, permanently impairing her left ear’s hearing abilities and knocking her unconscious. Out of guilt the human warrior carried her out of the battle and made certain she would wake up in safety, although the soldier did steal her purse, which did happen to be full as Lilrisanne has just completed a contract as a bodyguard for a wealthy merchant.
Lilrisanne evaluated the merchant and grinned villainously. “Greetings merchant! I seek battles, drink and honourable patrons. If you have knowledge of any of these, I hope you would be so kind as to assist me, and if you do not, I hope you will at least guide me to the nearest inn. I will be staying here awhile.”
