Zoda has little memory of before the age of 3, only learning that his father was a strong hunter, and would do anything to protect his family. His mother was a keen medic, staying away from conflict. His grandmother took care of him mostly, as his mother, being the intelligent medic she was, took care of most of the injured and ones that required help. He formed an incredibly strong bond with his grandmother due to his upbringing, and she was a strong believer in the Emerald Way. Zoda, therefore, also became a strong believer of it, becoming courageous, emotionally resilient and strong-willed. He prides himself off this. At the age of 12, he started venturing away from his home, although still close enough not to worry his father. His grandmother didn’t like this, but his mother convinced her that it was natural. A year later, 13-year-old Zoda found himself joining his father on a few hunting expeditions every now and then, slowly learning after his father had gifted him his own bow. At the age of 14, Zoda had started planning a three-month-long solo expedition. Again, his grandmother worried but was convinced it was natural. After all, Zoda had always been a keen explorer. Once he had reached age 15, and he had gathered the supplies he required for his journey, Zoda started his solo expedition. He had waved goodbye to his family and friends, and left to fend for himself. He was excited to venture from home. First on his map was The Princedom of Fenn. He didn’t want to go there, just wanted to grasp whereabouts it was. There was, of course, always time later to visit places.

Zoda had returned home after his three-month expedition, only finding ruins of his former home. There was no sign of elven life. He frantically searched for answers, finding nothing but signs of destruction. After attempting to process what he had seen, he set up a small camp in his old home. He wanted answers, and his family most of all. From the moment he set up his new home upon returning, to the moment he turned 17, he had been planning on leaving and finding civilisation. He felt so uncomfortable and worried about staying where he was. He couldn’t bear to be in his old home, not knowing what had happened. A few months after he turned 18, he set off to find answers, life and justice. But most importantly he went to find freedom and family, whether it be old or new. He started his journey to Oren.
