Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Glances over to the old hag, his mind ponders whether she's important to the small bustling town. Plops himself down on the cushion crossing his legs as his glance focuses back in on the old hag. He would proceed to speak with such conviction and emotion as he expresses himself and his story. "I come from a small town past the big star in the horizon." He pauses as he looks out to the presumingly dark sky as he points in the direction of the star. "While I come not alone, but my brother, I seek refuge from the dangers of the wilderness. You see, I was born in a dying village, very uncivilized village. The soil was baron, with the soil so baron, food was scarce. With trade being so limited due to abundance of trees and harsh natural terrain, supplies was limited. Out of desperation, people began thieving and murdering for food and supplies. just to get by. We were victim of losing everything, all of our valuables, food, and supplies we held dear to us..." Paused as he shed a light tear on the surface he would be distraught and uncomfortable. Would make his story ever so convincing... He would proceed to continue his story — "bandits. Killed the old man that took care of us, just for some stupid supplies..." took a deep breath as he gathered his emotions preparing the rest of the story.. "We managed to escape, however we had nothing to come back too... we managed to run into a tomb. Desperate for shelter my brother and I took shelter in the Tomb, as we did we continued to explore the tomb. I discovered writings on the wall that told tail of civilization rich as can be, the people happy and abundant, and different creatures of sorts... Elfs, Fairy's, witches, and all things alike. So we set course in the dangerous wilderness, traveling for 36 days, looking for the place. We have had to hunt for our food, and narrowly avoided being hunted. We've barley eaten, barely had water. We have been wearing the same cloak for a long time.. Could we seek refuge here for a few nights miss?" Returned a smile to her as his hands extended out to her. Hoping to be accepted.
