Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Aias’ eyes glanced down towards the old woman. Was she seeing things correctly? An old hag is who she was here to meet. “I..” Her gentle timid voice spoke up. Clearly it Aias wasn’t quite used to speaking to others. Her shyness seemed to portray on her facial expression the more the old woman studied her.
She then reached down towards the floor, finger tips planting against the ground as her large body soon came down as well. She sat crisscrossed as her fist raised to her own mouth clearly her throat thoroughly. “So you’re who I’m meeting?” Her thoughts slipped from her lips as her race ran maroon, through embarrassment for her unkind remark. The blush tinted her dark colored skin differently than a a regular ‘human’
”I assume you’ve chatted with my dear twin brother already, seeing as you’ve been.. Expecting me.” Her lips curved into a sly smirk, she had put two and two together already by the time she had sat down though as it quickly erased from her dark face as her skin tone returned to back to normal. “I was originally growing up with my parents and my brother.” - “They wanted to keep to our old ways!” Aias’ tone raised in frustration. Clearly hard of keeping her temper as she continued on elaborating her story. “I vented to my brother. I didn’t want to stay where we were living. I hated living like that. I wanted to explore other parts of the world.. So.. I ran away with him.” Her red orbs shifted her gaze towards the floor “He’s never questioned my dreams.. Just as I’ve never questioned his desires. He’s my best friend and together we’re a team”
Her fists clenched against her lap as she began feeling weary. If she spoke too much would this old lady find a way to have her sent back? No. She couldn’t let that happen.. Aias quickly shut her mouth refusing to speak any more of her story. She uncrossed her legs to quickly get herself back to her feet. “I’m sorry. I need to go find my brother now.” And with that last sentence spoken she left the tent, not a goodbye.. Not another word. Just off to find her brother. Maybe she’d tell him about this old lady… Who knows.
