He has had a humble life in Redenford - living on a small farm, reading interesting books that traveling merchants bring to the city. All his childhood he spent with his mother, sister and many friends. But after he reached the ripe age of 22 he started wishing to follow his brother, Darius Wane Romstun, and go to Providence to serve the Empire. Though he dosent want to follow his brother lead and join the Ministry of Justice but his true desire is to join the Imperial State Army and raise his sword for the emperor. His great great grandmother was Empress Zoey Romstun, the 'Warrior-Empress', but he wants nothing to do with her or his ancestors mischiefs and just wants to protect and serve, maybe make a good name for his family and become nobility one again. But unfortunate news arrived in his mail today that his highness, John VIII has died of illness. Everyone was shocked by the unfortunate passing of the Emperor but more than everyone Edward took it as his duty and faith to finally move to the capital. He didn't pack much as there was not much time - just a couple of clothes, as many books as he could get, mothers recipes and a broadsword that he received as a gift from his brother. Sad goodbyes were exchanged with his family and he headed out on his steed to start his journey to Providence.
Edward goes to the NGS museum and library in Providence and asks the girl working there "Excuse me, miss, but I was looking for a book 'The Tale of Augustus Blackmont'. Could you point me to it, please?"
The girl smiles back "Of course, please follow me." She walks over to the bookshelf and carefully takes out a book with many rips and tears. "Is this the one you're asking for?"
"Yes, it is." He replied, his face lighting up upon seeing the book surviving all these years in such a great condition. He takes it carefully from her hands and wraps it in cloth, gently putting it in his bag. "I wish to bring it back home and study it. Could I have it for a couple of saints days? I promise Ill bring it back in one piece!"
With the same wide smile she replies "No worries, as long as you bring it back in the same shape as you received it. If you ever need assistance with anything else, please don't be shy from asking me. I'm always around."
He dipped his head "Thank you miss." He signs the lorraine at the woman and walks out the door, heading straight home.
