Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

*As the elf arrives into the town, his chainmail skirt clattering against his greaves and the light and shadows danced along his breastplate. As he lifted the faceplate of his helmet, he sat down before the Hag, his ears flickering in curiosity*

"Surely my reputation hasn't reached your ears, stranger."

*My gauntlets brush against the rotting wood of the table, my halberd resting against the side. My shield was set beside me on the bench and I gazed cautiously at her*

"Man-At-Arms Vruulo La Fae, I'm passing through but I'm on a journey to rally some likeminded folks in service of my patron."

*I wait for the hag to better focus on me before continuing, my ears flick once with a bit of impatience*

"Im an envoy of my mistress, her cavalier and shield if you will... her generosity is very limited so I will only give you one opportunity to listen in and point me in the right direction. She brought me out from my ruins of a home after the vagabonds of the badlands invaded our tundra home, awarded me with a new horse to rebuild my cavalry order and advance her will. Im sure most would look away from an elf, but she was kind enough to save me."

*I look around for a moment to study the area* "This place is almost similar to mine... Im sure you all could use a reprieve. After all, the tragic loss of the City-State of Vansk reached the whole area, plenty of other unmentioned cities and villages in the area and along the coast were ransacked and decimated"

*The elf sighs and loosens his grip, the plates on his gauntlets lightly scraping together*

"No matter, the navy and cavalry can be reformed with the right amount of help, and Im insistent on completing my mission set by my patron. Will you please show me the route forward?"
