Ezekiel was born to the bustling carefree, mercantile and seafaring city of Freeport. Ezekiel's parents were both adept in the arts of the trade, and throughout the years passed as much of that knowledge as they could during his youth. His mom was a sailor since birth and his dad an astute businessman in the fishing industry. Ezekiel spent his days bartering with the local baker for an extra portion of bread and then proceeding to use that bread to try to train the local community of seagulls to do his bidding. He liked going on trips out to sea with his mom but he much preferred fishing with his dad, as he felt like fishing and trading were one in the same. Cast out the bait and through a combination of good positioning, luck and enough patience, the bounty would arrive.
However, after the crisis hit Freeport, the poverty and famine that arrived from the chaos reached into Ezekiel's family, eventually causing tensions and fights with his mom and dad. After several weeks of anger and sadness, Ezekiel’s mother would drown herself by swimming as far into the ocean as she could, as a way to be reunited with her first love, the sea. Ezekiel found her body washed ashore the next morning. Despite the tensions, his father loved Ezekiel’s mom more than anything and so he followed soon after, hanging himself in the living room of their home. In order to cope with the loss of both parents, Ezekiel promised himself that he would find out the mystery of Freeport's downfall and bring forth it’s spiritual revival in the form of a new trading nation. He traveled to the Kingdom of Oren and tried surviving the only way he knew how. By going headfirst into the trade.
Ezekiel looks to his surroundings as his mouth is left agape. He is immediately filled with anticipation and glee as he surveys what could be his future playing ground. He gazes at the approaching man and smiles. "Greetings!" He responded. "Well, if all goes as planned, nothing short of making it into the history books."
