Despite being a highlander, Adalhard was not the most masculine or well built of men. Many have theorized to the infidelity of his mother, a curse or sickness brought down onto him or some god delivering him like this because of an act of shame was committed to the family or name. Though, the peoples of the small encampment he was born into out in the wild suspected nothing of it until he was age, he was treated fair and true taught the ways of up keeping their encampment, hunting, crafting and possibly surviving out in the spruce forests near the Kingdom of Curonia. Until that day came when he was expected to have grown into a man he was still stunted and childish compared to most, his peers began to tower over him, show their facial hair and the muscles. He lagged behind in some of the most humiliating ways and from that shame, the ridicule that soon befell the treatment as if he was slow or not fully capable drove him to leave that encampment. Now on his own with a few more years under his belt he has developed into a feverish, mildly hateful, short tempered man who desperately wants to prove himself and be something more than he is. As a result, he's left the forests and ventured his way into Avalain, the Capital City of Curonia. His behaviors might manifest in forms of taking a difficult task on his own, staying far from his own kin in fear of their mockery and or making ill acquaintances from his hostile interactions from others, which to him is all but normal.
