Maith was born into a loving and family oriented home with her mother and father in the kingdom of Haense. She was an only child and not very social but never lonely with all the love she received from her parents. She discovered her deep connection to the earth early on. Her father was hard working, kind and considerate and her mother was the same. However, this paradise didn't last as her father went to hunt one morning and came back that evening with a severed leg and severed hand. He had been morbidly attacked by homely trolls in a part of the woods he was unfamiliar with. The pain and trauma of the incident led to her father relieving it with copious amounts of alcohol. He became just a warm body in the house and her mother left because of this. She was left to fend for herself and her father at age 10. At age 15, her father died of liver failure and she left to find her mother. On the journey to find her long lost mother, she met a human around her age who offered her a place to sleep and eat. She fell in love with the human but was soon betrayed. The human attempted to sell Maith but she quickly found a way around the situation by killing the person she so loved. She headed off any path to avoid humans and at age 16 she found her mother but her mother didn't know who she was or that she even had a daughter. This broke Maith's heart entirely and broke her innocence. She found herself waking up in a drunken haze every morning at a shelter she made deep in the woods. She's now 18 and looking for purpose so she doesn't end up like her father.

*Maith looks the gentleman up and down with an irritated scowl, "What, are you the town fool looking for validation. Sad. Anyways, I'm not a tourist looking to be entertained by the local idiot ," Maith said as she gave the poor man a nasty sarcastic look. "I'm looking for a pub. I'm weary and not in the mood for any witless antics. Besides, why do you even care." She sighed shortly and said "Well, farewell, doormat." She walked past the man with a half smile grin on her face.
