    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: I try to stay grounded in what my character can and wants to do as opposed to what I want to do. Usually, finding a clever way to compromise on a topic can be more entertaining and engaging for both parties than forcing combat, especially if you go into it with your mind set on winning. I like to try to negotiate and avoid fighting when possible.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: it breaks the rules of roleplay and makes talking out of character with others a "risk", which isn't fun. Sharing information can help guide the players, as long as the players dont metagame. Metagaming can break immersion and lessen the fun had by all.

Physical Description: 5'5, slightly fit. traveller and wanderer. bandana around arm armor. short brown messy hair and eyes. broken, ceremonial armor.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

((How do you respond?))

 

"Hey, thanks for having me." Inku vierto scans the tent and lays his blade on the ground next to the cushion. "My name is Inku Vierto, and I hail from a far land. My father was a knight-" His gaze veers off. "He was framed. Our family was to be punished, but I got away." Inku's eyes meet the woman's again. "I've been travelling to learn more about healing magic. I seek a teacher."
