Aherzyn had just set foot into a swampy and dim town. As he explored the area with his eyes, his gaze was suddenly and uncomfortably met with rundown shacks and cabins, far from the luxury of caves he had known. It smelled of rotting wood and damp moss. "Eugh," he muttered as he ducked and stepped into a tattered tent, illuminated merely by a series of candles somehow suspended high in the air.
At the edge of the tent, an old hag raised her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She began, then paused to study Aherzyn's face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Me?" he questioned, raising a brow, yet taking a seat, knowing he had a story to be told. Quickly, he brushed up his appearance as his face was directed away from the hag; he didn't want to make a bad first impression. Once he turned back, his legs were crossed as if he were seeing a doctor. He noticed the hag's rebuking expressions at his cupidity, though he assumed it to be vigilance. After a short groan, he possessed his typical smiling matter: "Well, I'm in this... town," the word bled from the edge of his tongue; it didn't deserve the title of a quaint town, "for, uh..."
He stumbled on his words, trying to find a believable mendacity sufficing of this woman's questioning. Though, his true intentions within this town had lied simply within the aforementioned avarice. "Love. Yes, I'm looking for my future." The hag raised a brow, peering into Aherzyn's eyes askance.
"Uhuh..." she uttered, going with it.
"Yes, yes," Aherzyn responded, his face flushing slightly as he kept up with it. "I'm, uh, yes. I'm here because I'm ever so lonely at home," now there was a veracious statement, "and I need someone to hold- er- hold me." He nodded beyond shadow of doubt. He was a poor spinner of yarns, despite said yarn being ever-so-entangled in his life, however, he was keeping up pretty well to his standards in the moment.
The hag pushed him further, already knowing full-well of his preconception of pleonexia: "And... what about your name, Maehr?"
Aherzyn complied with her request after recomposing himself due to the quick switch to Vel'luah. He breathed, preparing himself to speak in his native tongue, "Aherzyn Helohernyn, Helun. Ahernyn z Vanayal."
