Teft grew up with his family as a farmer in a farming village north west of renatus as he grew up he toured the village along with the surrounding countryside and was fascinated by the architecture and plant life he liked a flower called the crimson vase the most. He frequently went around in his free time exploring the village. In addition to this he occasionally stole something wasn’t being watched. He spent whatever little money he earned on books of architecture, farming, fighting and the tales of thieves and con men of old. His father and mother showed Teft everything they knew in farming architecture and other topics one such topic was the religion they followed the canonist church Teft followed the religion as well but didn’t believe that a deity would pay any mind to him someone who in his eyes was utterly inconsequential to the world. After about 18 years Teft knew the countryside like the back of his hand and wanted to find some way to go to somewhere alse and experience the architecture in other parts of the world. The only problem was he didn’t have the money however Teft had a plan once people had their harvest he invited many of the men who had gotten a lot of money from the harvest to a tavern he then bought the men as many drinks as they wanted (getting them thoroughly drunk in the process) once he had done this he played the men in a game of blackjack winning a lot more than he should have (by cheating of course). After a while Teft said that he would be raising the stakes at the table and that each man had to bet 5000 minas on the next round. Most of the men accepted the new stakes. Teft then rigged the deck by shuffling the last rounds cards to the top of the deck then took a winning hand and in doing so he won the game taking the money of everyone who won. He bought the men he had pretty much robbed a few drinks then left the tavern with his purse now very fat. After Teft was done at the tavern he ran home packed up his things, said goodbye to his family and paid to hire some guards to help him go to renatus.
