He grew up in a nomadic community with his family and other community members. Like any nomadic tribe they travelled the same paths at the same time of year, but during the Amber Cold the community's movement was delayed due to a washed out road, and the Deep Cold came earlier then anticipated. Most of the community ended up dying from the exposure and the snowstorm, and those that didn't die on the path through the mountains ended up dying later that week from illnesses that had been brought on by the harsh elements. The few that did survive barely managed to make it to the next village over, and they ended up settling permanently in the village. All of his immediate family had died, and he stayed in the village for 6 years but eventually decided that the stationary lifestyle wasn't for him. So now he roams from town to town, village to village, never staying more than a few weeks in one place, looking for adventure.
