Prudove was the only child of an aging halfling couple. They lived in a modest burrow on the outskirts of Bramblebury, and she spent most of her days completing small chores for her family in the forest. Prudove’s plans to travel the world remained stagnant as she stayed home to care for her elderly parents. It wasn’t until her parents reassured her of their wellbeing and shared their plans to join a retirement community that Prudove finally felt comfortable following her dreams. Grabbing a small tote from her room, she waved goodbye to her parents and stepped into the wilderness. As the trees of Bramblebury faded behind her, Prudove felt a mixture of excitement and uncertainty settle in her chest. Though the road ahead was unfamiliar, she carried with her the quiet determination and kindness her parents had spent a lifetime teaching her.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Prudove would hurriedly pull herself onto the chair, her bare feet swinging in the air. "Y-You've been expecting me?" Her hands would fidget and she'd keep her gaze to the floor. "I'm from Bramblebury, b-but I was never really involved with the town.." She gulped nervously as she debated telling this old woman about herself before eventually conceding. "I want to find a place to call home.. Somewhere I can farm all day, tend the flock, and recover after a hard days work in a tavern surrounded by nice people.." Prudove sat in a thoughtful silence before giving the old woman a shaky smile. "You don't happen to know about a place like that, do you?"
