Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"You've been expecting me." Leif says, more of a statement than a question. He is slightly suspicious, but he sits down on the cushion slowly. A small rain of dust falls from the roof of the tent. "I am just passing through. As always." He pulls his weather-worn hood down, and looks long and hard at the old hag. "I have been on the move for a long time. I was too curious and too restless for my kin," He says, shifting slightly. "I was too interested in outsiders. Too eager to learn skills which my clan can't teach me." He sighs, "So I left. I have been searching for a Dwarven clan which can take me in. Teach me their ways." He looks up, "I will search as long as it takes."
