    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is the idea of giving yourself abilities and doing tasks that normally that person or character could not do. For example if I were to say that I lit someone on fire and burned them to ash in an instant. This would be considered as powergaming

Altiroth was an orphan most of his life. His ancestors were slaves of the Mori’Quessir and were abused and murdered through generations. However his parents were nomads and chose not to communicate with any race including their own out of fear. Unfortunately they died, due to bandits and left Altiroth in the care of a most trusted friend who’s ancestors fought back during the command of Khel Oussana and trained Altiroth to take care of himself. Due to Aliroths quick speed and agility, he grew up learning the ways of stealth and used his skills to earn coin from taking out corrupted nobleman. Becoming a silent mercenary that was unaware of the politics going on in the world around him. However on the side he became interested in the arts of dark magic and hoped to find a teacher that would mentor him and help perfect his stealthy fighting techniques as well as help him with his hidden agenda. Over the years he traveled across the lands not really belonging to any city or faction. Exploring the world for new secrets to uncover. However eventually Altiroth came back to the dark elf community began living in Khel’seth, home of the Warhawkes to be united with his people. His main goal is to continue fighting from the shadows to help avenge his families honor, while also becoming a integrated member of society. On his free time he loves to paint the scenery around him and draw maps of the landscape around him. As for looks, Altiroth wears the colors that represented his families crest which was a red snake with a black flame. Which he saw on his fathers necklace as he grew up. As a result he wears a red and black robe to help conceal himself and represent a striking snake.

Physical Description: Altiroth is 6'2 with red eyes and snowy white hair. He wears a pale red and black robe that is traditional to his family.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Your Metagaming definition and Powergaming definition are not quite correct. Please see our Metagaming WIki and Powergaming Wiki to get the definition and write it in your own words. Add examples

Your character is too young to have any coorelation to either Khel or the Mori.

I would suggest reading up on Atlas to help get lore pertaining to your age and race.

While its fine to have an interest in magic, your character cannot have any knowledge or practice any magic without first finding a teacher in game and getting an accepted MA.
