    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: performing unfair and godly actions in roleplay where naturally it is not possible is a bit overkill as only who performs the actions will have fun and the others would just get irritated, also you never know for once you would be
    relying on powergaming and the next moment someone else uses it on you so i prefer as its in my best interest to avoid powergaming
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: information not gathered from roleplay seems unfair as, if it was possible then roleplay would not be roleplay it would be just like a smp and considering the various applications of information gathered from outside the roleplay
    it would make one really stronger than others who dont have access to such information and i feel like it most obviously disrupts roleplay

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
 

"who are you and what is this town about?"says with a questioning tone observing carefully for any change in emotions on the hags face while moving towards the gestured cusion to take a seat
continuing with "before you tell me anything i will do my part by telling my small and simple story"

"I am Aizen, a high elf who lives as a hermit all these years trained by a swords master elf named Alzark,

I although possess great strength and skill in swordsmanship want to follow my racial ability to learn great magic, so i have set out on a adventure learning magic and honing my swordship skills whenever and wherever
I can" in a calm tone with trust reflecting in his voice

"Now mind telling my who you are and what do you mean by you've  been expecting me?"
