    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: overpowering someone else character without any resistance

once upon a time Christopher  was sitting around the fire all by himself until one day he decides he must change his ways and get a job and protect the land get a house and work for a family so he could live happily ever after I know it cheesy lol ?

also, Christopher saves the village form being under attack by the bad guys by using his knightly heart and soul of kindness to bring the people to safety so no one gets hurt and injured and he promised them that he would help them rebuild the village back to normal after the bad guys are defeated and gone.

he was born and raised from a village  away with nothing but some bread his armor and sword and a map to explore the world until one day he found another place  a village with humans just like him  so he met them and ask to be his friends  they said sure and then they offered him a place to stay  some food water if he help protect the village from being attack and he agreed he would do it and he said he would even help do chores on the side if need be  because he never had such luxury from where he came from so  they all agreed and accept him in and said welcome to our village  the parents where kind loving caring  and trusting parent but very poor the armor he had was  leather  a wooded sword  and 5 bread with 1 map his height was 5  4  he weight 115 lb  my character was born in the highlands born too survive and hunt, fish, craft  he also try to find camps or small  hovels  they live to be up to 150 years old  there curses is Iblees the frist deamon to  fall  and encountered and banished  from the relam

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

  • Your metagaming and powergaming definitions are incorrect, please take a look at our wiki pages and write a correct definition in your own words. [Powergaming] [Metagaming]
  • Your characters name is not suitable for our server, please change it to something more ordinary and fitting for our setting, example; Christopher Branson.
  • Super humans and superhuman strength does not exist in our lore, please remove it from your characters backstory. Alongside this, not to say that you have, you cannot apply with a character that possesses magic.
  • Your character's backstory does not create a playable character, you will perhaps have to go into things such as childhood, their parents, what the place they grew up in was like - Was it a village or bustling town? Did he have a rough time growing up in this place? Were his parents caring?
  • Your character's backstory must include a reference to our servers lore, this could be a place of birth, an event that affected your character, a culture he celebrates or a religion he might worship.
  • Your character's description must be a rough run down of what he looks like, things such as height, size and clothing are a good way to start. What would somebody see at first glance?
  • Your interesting facts need some expansion and you need to include a proper weakness. What makes him kind and caring, why is that? Why does he want to protect people?

  • Please make your characters name Christopher Knight.
  • Your characters backstory still needs to include a reference to our servers lore, this could be a place of birth, an event that affected your character, a culture he celebrates or a religion he might worship. Any of these can be found on the wiki.
  • Your character cannot possess magical healing powers, this goes for all magic.
