Born to a line of free tenants long rooted to their allotment of land on a fief by the river Baltas. Karl was raised into peasantry, a life of toil and of rigid tradition and of unquestionable belief in the Church of the Cannon. Karl not being the firstborn son had little inheritance to claim when once his father died and so decided on leaving his village to find a future elsewhere. Eventually his travels led him to Carolustadt where he now takes employment as a common labourer where ever his services are required.
