Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example:
Hazel looked down at the ground and took a deep breath. "I came here to get away from my old life." She paused for a moment before continuing her story. "My husband and I were farmers. We had been traveling to the Shire in hopes to purchase and trade crops with the halflings...but my husband and I were attacked by orcs on our journey. We had only been married for a few months before the attack. He did not survive. Without him, my heart has grown cold and I feel as though I have lost myself. I came here to try to forget what happened." Hazel's eyes remained on the ground as her voice trailed off..."I came here to find myself again."
