Sequoia grew up traveling the untamed wilderness of the mountains of Atlas, raised by his mother, a fiercely independent nomadic hunter. At the age of 18, his mother disappeared one night leaving Sequoia alone, with countless questions, and few answers. Shortly afterwards, he was abducted by a raiding party, stowed on a ship with several other prisoners to be sold in one of the major cities. Several days into his voyage a storm shipwrecked the boat, and Sequoia was deposited on an unknown shore, alone, lost, but not without hope.
To this day he travels the world on foot, constantly searching for something, anything that might help him understand. A collector of trinkets and books, he earns a living as a merchant, buying and selling rare items across the known world as he travels. He has heard rumors of a grand library, whispered as "Dragur," in a far-off realm that holds endless knowledge and answers to all questions. Unsure if simply a fantasy or true, he hopes one day to visit or create his own library as and homage and sanctuary to all those afflicted with the unquenchable thirst for answers.
Despite a traumatic childhood, he never lost the upbeat and social personality - a boon for his insatiable hunger for stories of adventures and discovery. One day, he dreams of settling down and opening a tavern at a cross-roads where folks of all walks of life can gather to swap stories, artifacts, and share a pint.
