    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using OOC (out of character) information ICly (in character). Stuff like- someone said they were gonna go afk in ooc chat, and you run to their base and kill them, something like that.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is taking shortcuts in the game in a counter-intuitive way. It can also mean forcing roleplay onto other people, like- "Alexis attacks X with a one hit kill spell with no means of dodge or survivability and done in one emote" Yeah, that.

**Alf looks over to his brother as the man spoke, walking over to him and whispering in his ear, silently muttering something as he covered his mouth with his hand. He then looks at him for a few seconds with an embarrassed look as his brother gave him a push towards gentleman. 

Alf then clears his throat, taking a on a more confident demeanor as opposed to his usual gaunt state. 
"E-Excuse me, y-you shouldn't talk to us so nonchalant like that! Do you know what my brother would say if he caught you talking to a High Elf so casually..? He'll rip you to shreds!"
"B-But anyway, I'm just here to study about plants.. please, point me to the nearest garden or greenhouse.."

 

*Alf then turns, walking back to his brother and standing behind him, planting his hands onto his face.
