Lin was raised in Sutica. Her father was a captain of a small ship crew, he taught her how to work a boat. When Lin was 9 her mother had ran away with one of her fathers deck crew men. This caused her father to go into a period of depression, his grasp of parenting slipped. Their money decreased and they even lost their house, moving Lin and her father to a small one bedroom home. Lin started theiving and scheming, starting her life of collecting scraps. At age 13 her uncle came to take her from her absent father. Lin went with her uncle, Vaughn Eviette, who was a retired general. He taught her how to fight, she was the best with a dagger. Lin’s uncle was a wealthy man who was typically busy. He had two kids, Adriel and Sage. Adriel was a mute boy who was one year younger than lin and Sage was a jealous, mean little girl who was a month older than Lin. Sage made Lin feel very unwelcomed in the home and since her uncle wasn’t around as much no one protected her. She was homeschooled with the two by a private teacher. Lin excelled in school and made sure to help Adriel succeed as well. Their teacher told Lin countless of stories about Irrinor and not knowing much about her kind, Lin was intrigued. Lin’s caretaker also told stories about the Druidic history, her favorite being The Age of Abandonment. Although she did not believe in magic, the thought excited her. At age 15 she had began sneaking out and rebelling against her uncle’s wishes. When Lin was 18 she had stolen a ship, Sage had told the authorities. Afraid, Lin fled from home and set out to find her mother, who she believes is staying in Irrinor. She stole her fathers old boat that was bought by a gang in the slums. Lin had been sailing places back and forth, stealing and creating trouble. She tends to steal from other ships, explaining her casual and light clothing. Lin has arrived at Helena, before her boat was stolen.
*Lin tilted her head with narrowed eyes. Taking her hands out of her pockets she crossed her arms. She spoke sharply, her voice raspy from yelling at a merchant who failed an order.* “Wealth sounds mighty perfect, though I expect it would to most. Might I ask who you are to be asking such questions?”
