You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

I step into the tattered tent, my black armor adorned with a flowing blue cape rustling softly as I move. The eerie atmosphere of the swampy town still clings to me as I settle onto the offered cushion, maintaining a respectful but cautious demeanor. The golden glow of my eyes meets the old hag's gaze as she speaks, and her uncanny recognition sends a shiver down my spine.

"You have keen eyes, wise one," I reply, my voice measured. "I am Auregil Elenyasoléa, a traveler on a quest to explore the world's mysteries and to forge connections with its diverse inhabitants. I hail from the Silver Citadel, a place I once called home. But despite my lineage of pure-blooded high elves, I am not of noble blood. Tragedy struck my family on the day of my birth. My parents, the last of our line, perished mysteriously, leaving me as the sole survivor. I have no recollection of them, only the stories I've been told."

I pause, my gaze locked with the old hag's. "I've kept my true heritage a closely guarded secret, for I've learned that power and prestige can be a double-edged sword. The knowledge of my lineage was shared with only one person, a mentor who guided me in my youth. They are gone now, and their wisdom and secrets are buried with them."

A sense of vulnerability washes over me, but I continue, my determination clear. "I've set out on this journey to see the world, to meet new people, and to find a purpose beyond the weight of my heritage. The Silver Citadel remains my home, but I want to return with experiences and stories that are truly mine, not just those of a pure-blooded high elf. And now, wise one, it seems fate has led me to you. What can you share that has led you to anticipate my arrival in this dingy town?"
