Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Kargrumm drops onto the cushion and begins talking, "When I was a young lad, I tirelessly worked in the mines, and grew up rather sheltered in the underground fortress I lived in. When I was older I met a beautiful young lass, who I soon married. We both had a heart for adventure, and wanted to explore the world outside our birthplace. So we started on our way it I will never forget the time we enjoyed together." His eyes drift up for a short moment as if he were fondly remembering something, then his face grimaces and his eyes drop. "It was great. Until those damned orcs ambushed us." Kargrumm's face begins to tear up, "I barely escaped myself, but my poor Rubiel" He wipes away some tears from his face, but more wet droplets slide down his face, "she..she stood no chance when those brutes attacked us. It was quick, at least." Kargrumm wipes his face again and dries his wet beard, composing himself. "After her death, I roamed the countryside for a while, until found myself here."
