    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Making use of outside information of wich your character would not know anything about.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: By demand a certain action to be made, (non)severe actions of wich the other party would not have a chance to defend themselves against.

Darryl thorne was born in a homestead a couple of miles away from the silver state of haelun'or, being born from a retired townsguard Damien thorne and his wife Kathrine Beekz. in his early younger years he often tended help his mother with her flower garden and small farmland to help supply and sustain the family.

when Darryl was around the age of 17 his father decided to start training him how to use weapons to defend himself with in the future. Darryl's father hoped to have him prepared and ready for when he would be older. So his father asked  Darryl "How would you like to be trained " and to wich Darryl replied ''With a longsword''.

Fast forward a some years and Darryl is now 22 years old. He was helping out his mother again with the farmland and tending to the animals and such , when suddenly hos father came running in warning them from some bandit raid. Darryl ran to his mother to tell that she needed to hide, but when he got inside he saw a bandit inside with a knife at his mothers throat, and the proceded to slit it open causing her to bleed out and die right in front of darryl. The bandit then said to darryl "You're next kid! ",  after wich Darryl then ran outside to grab his father spare iron sword he used for traing. as the bandit walked outside to help his friends he got stabbed by Darryl in the back.

Not knowing what to do next he went and started looking for his father. after a small amount of fear andpanic he found his father fighting multiple bandits but it his father wasnt looking so good. Darryl ran to help his father out but having to face 4 bandits is no easy task. after the fight they did manage to win but darryl got sliced in the right arm and his father took a small stab in his side. Darryl was bleeding rather much from his arm so his father took out a red piece of cloth and tightly wrapped it around Darryl's arm.

The bandits saw that they where on the losing side, where starting to flee after ruining the homestead, one of the bandits was still bold enough to hide and wait to come out for a suprise attack. He jumped out from behind some barrels and stabbed darryl's father square in the chest and quickly ran of. Having his father now gone aswell he decided to take both of their wedding rings as keepsakes and decided bury him and his mother in their flower garden.

after burying his parents he decided to go out and see the world, he took up his father's sword and shield, packed some suplies and left out of his now ruined home. Looking for where his adventures might bring him.

Physical Description: Darryl is about 6'1,he has a beard and his hair in a ponytail , wears a white shirt with a leather vest and dark blue trousers with black boots.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Well done applicant! I've had an absolutely amazing time reading your application and only few application manage to catch my interest by so much. 

I can only hope that you're able to have an amazing time on LoTC, being able to fully develop your own character with other people as time goes on.
