How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you use OOC information to implement into your character that he cannot know. (Warning for a secret ambush, backstories that where never shared... etc)
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: When you do overpowered or instant actions without letting the other party react with a dodge/block/miss or other ("He slices [Insert name here] off" instead of "He tries to slice at [Insert name here])
