Lantern grew up a home schooled dark elf girl with her older Marsh who took care of her and her sickly family in the princedom of Fenn. Her parents worked as guards for the snow elf kingdom, protecting the grounds and teaching their son the ways of combat. However, they were forced to leave their posts when they were struck with sickness. Sadly, they passed away when she was very young resulting in Marsh turning to the black market to sell drug in hopes of supporting them both. In the end, he became addicted resulting in Lantern to have to take care him as well. She thinks the world of him and only wants the best for both of them, even if it means sacrificing what she loves. Once she turned old enough, Marsh began to raise enough money to take them away to Irrinor to start a new life. As they traveled, the two faced off orcs, battled humans, and traded with dwarves until they reached their destination. During this time, He taught Lantern how to cook, take care of herself, and wood work for whenever she needed to build or protect herself. Now, Lantern lives with her brother in the forest realm, waiting for the day her parents will somehow return to her.
*The dark elf would look at the area around her. She was amazed just by the amount of people in such a place. Her ears heard everything from simple conversations to the clatters and clangs of nearby trade and fights.* “This is incredible. . .” *She lifted up her hood in hopes of hiding her horns, a deformity that will haunt her till the end of her days.* “I’m here for a new start sir,” *Lantern would pay him handsomely.* “and you’ve just helped me more than you can imagine.”
