This tear in his life left him defenceless, weak, weird, unfit, "not really soldier material" and his schedule that he had enjoyed was torn apart by his inability to walk, fight and stay mentally stable 24/7, instead opting to focus himself on his studies, which, because of the extra time he had to fill, excelled in and began to become fascinated in military.. With no specific "disorders"- he seemed to become obsessed with the military actions of the Highlanders and Heartlander people and stayed calm and tactical while learning about them, however, was in pain and acted harshly, rashly and with clear angst at random rare times.
