Christoff was born to an ordinary peasant family in a town of the Kingdom of Renatus-Marna. His father was a farmer, and his mother created clothing to sell at home with what fabric she had. Neither one brought in an exceptional income, but it was most often enough to get by. His parents never had any other siblings, so Christoff often spent time with other children in the town. He by no means had an interesting childhood, and during the winters his family struggled to stay afloat. Christoff had next to no education, only capable of speaking and comprehending the common tongue of the lands. Due to his family's background of peasantry and his family's little wealth, medicine was not something they would come about by easily. Due to this, any sickness would surely be fatal. Both his mother and father were dead due to common illnesses by the time he was 25. This was a common occurrence for those living the same lifestyle that they did. To make an income, Christoff takes whatever jobs he can, but most often, he fishes and takes them to the capitol city, Senntisten, to sell for whatever he can. Christoff is not unhappy, and he finds that he's pretty well off, for the peasant lifestyle anyways. He has always had a buried aspiration to leave the peasantry life to join the military, but he finds this unlikely. He lacks excellent sword skills, but he is decent at hand-to-hand self defense and fist fights.
