Born and raised in Lareh'thilln, the capital of the high elves, to a pureblood mother and father. Both being studious in nature, with his mother in regards to ancient history and his father in the arts of war. He took after these interests, naturally, and was raised as a behaving youth of no particular inclination to rebel aside from an instance at age seventeen. His childhood friend nudged him on to the idea of spending a day out to venture outside of the safe-haven capital and to the silver forest. However, bandits ambushed the duo and his friend fled to safety as Alandir was caught. Beaten and robbed, the melodramatic Alandir was certain he would die. He made it back to his parents after hours of worry and the situation has been considered the shame of the Cassiopeia family since.
With a grunt escaping him and a moment of unsteadiness ensuing, Alandir stepped off the boat to enter the city. Patting down his attire in this motion, his senses were overcame by the sprawling bazaar as his eyes glittered despite his lazily drooped lids. The well dressed gentleman came before him, frightening the high elf as he took a pace back and peered at the figure with distaste. Before the gentleman could offer his hospitable ramblings, the elf did naught but waver the figure away with a flourishing palm as he pushed passed him. Offering naught in the way of conversation beside:
"Whatever you are selling, I am /not/ interested."
