Ziguss was born in the trading nation of Sutica. His father was a trader in the city, and Ziguss frequently helped his father load cargo onto ships, but was never allowed to leave. As he grew up, he frequently began to try and stow away on a ship, but was always caught by his father and scolded. After turning 20, Ziguss was hired on a merchant vessel under a false name, so that he wasn’t forced to stay in Sutica. They made port for Aegrothond, his first time away from Sutica. While in Aegrothond, he met many new people, including meeting his first halfling from a neighboring village of Brandybrook.
After a month or two the vessel returned to Sutica. Going home, he told his parents he was hired onto a merchant vessel and was done living with them in Sutica. This of course, broke his mother’s heart and sent his father into a spiral of anger and sadness. That night, while in his hammock in the lower-deck of this ship, he grew depressed and sad at what he had done earlier that day. He eventually left the ship and went back to his home where he stood outside the door and contemplated going inside. He thought about revoking his position on the vessel, but eventually turned away without saying goodbye. He then spent over fifteen months working on legal merchant ships, but began growing bored of what they had to offer, and so he left in search of new and more interesting work at the port city of Vira Bay.
*He’d step forward as the male approached him.* “Why so many questions, let me take my time first. I do not understand why such trivial matters come across me at such a time.” *He’d take a side glance before turning back to the male asking the questions.* “I came to this city as company, I do not seek adventure nor wealth, more of a new beginning of some sort.” *He’d begin to turn back before glancing around once again, as he signaled there were more questions to be answered.* “Grand aspirations, that’s something I will seek out later in life, as I said earlier, I came here as company, nothing more.” *He’d waves to the man, signaling that it is time for him to leave. He proceeds by walking past him, awaiting the new adventures they’d seek in this new city.*
