Born a mewling little thing to Kilenya and Dagan Hearthbrook in 1646, Elleira was welcomed into a warm home in Dunshire. Having lost a child previously, her parents kept her close. She was raised with humility and kindness, and a love so strong it played jump-rope with the line between smothering and caring. Elleira's naturally curious nature caused several close calls, which only made her parents' grip tighter. Adolescence brought forth a slew of emotions and an urge to rebel. After a heated argument, Elleira took a bag of supplies and fled the village, fully intent on making her way to a larger town. She lasted about two weeks, fending for herself as best as she could with her limited skills. Eventually, she was met with a much larger foe, a dangerous Prairie Dulk. She managed to escape and make her way back to Dunshire, limping and having come to the conclusion that her parents were right to keep her close. There, she was met with the news that her parents had gone after her, only a few days after she left. Worry gripped her as she recovered, and it only grew as she returned to an empty home day after day. She wanted to go out and find them herself, but after her previous encounter and their disappearance, she was rooted to her home out of obligation that they may come back one day, and fear that they wouldn't. Years passed. Elleira remained in her childhood home, only entering her parents' room to dust and replace the vase of wildflowers her mother kept on the nightstand. She continues this tradition weekly, and it helps keep her grounded. What friends she does make, she latches on to them. She still has a hungry curiosity, and she satisfies it by listening to the stories of those traveling through the village. She makes a decent living for herself as a fisherman and, though she is fearful of the travel, she hopes one day to be part of a larger town.
