Kate was born and raised on a small farm on the outskirts of Curon. She grew up with her mom and two older brothers, Kates dad died on a ship after a huge storm that sunk the ship. Kate's mom Sarah taught her how to cook at a young age, her two older brothers Jack and Nelson helped teach Kate how to fight when she was around the age of 10. Nelson is the oldest of out the three children Kate and Nelson are 9 years apart but they have always been close. Jack was close but not as close to the two. When Kate was around the age of 13 their families crops started to die more and more each year which cause the family to become poorer and poorer, Kate was the sneaky and sly one in the family with her short and small structure of a body it was easy for her to steal small object such as coins and small foods. She will sneak around markets and small taverns and steal bread or some coins for her family which has helped them survive, Kate never really grew out of the stage of stealing but her families farm is doing better than ever. When Kate was 16 both her brother Nelson went missing after going to a small village they all think he is dead, which Jack just left home to find a better life somewhere. Kate left home as well to go discover areas she had never been to which now brings her to the age of 18 she goes back home every so often to check on her mom but she is still searching for new areas and still stealing from others. To this day Kate wears a mask that covers up her face that her brother Nelson gave to her when she was 6 years old.
