Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Tara entered the tent, her gaze panning over the area, nose scrunching some as she took in the musky air. "Me?" She questioned, letting a short "pff" noise out of her mouth, "Likely not the 'you' that you expect, maam" the woman uttered, shaking her head few times in disbelief. "I am no one... really." She rubbed her calloused working hands together anxiously as she met the womans gaze. "I am from a modest town, a small one on the outskirts of old Oren" she described, "a seamstress, you see.." she told as she gestured down to that peculiar dress she wore, adorned with gems, stones, and numerous coloured fabrics with a variety of textures and patterns. "Good business is hard to come by. I seek adventure, a new place to set shop, or do small jobs until I am equipped to do so" she told, clicking her tongue as she considered what further to say. "That about sums it up, I'd say. Where would you suggest I go?" She asked hopefully, leaning forward in anticipation.
