    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: To use information in character that you know out of character, but your character could not or does not know. For example, if a friend told you they needed help and where they were on the map, but your character does not have that information, to have your character go there with the intent of helping them would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: To state that your action succeeds without allowing the opportunity for it to fail, particularly in relation to interacting with other players. For example, to say that you stabbed a character rather than saying you attempted to slash at them would be powergaming. It implies success and provides no opportunity for the other player to prevent it.

He would introduce himself and state his purpose there, saying "Hello, my name is Soveliss Holimion. I'm here to (do whatever it is he is there to do in this hypothetical scenario)". He would follow up by saying "And who might you be?". After the man has introduced himself, he would say "Well, if there's nothing else you need from me, I'll need to be on my way now". Soveliss gestures behind the man with his open palm.
