Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Ah, right-" Obelza sits down promptly, folding her hands into her lap neatly. "I suppose you already know of me, but I shall tell you what you may not. I am from a small hunting village, comprising just my family and a few other family units. From a young age, I had an attunement with the spirits, that stronger than even our shaman."
Obelza takes a moment to push her long, silver hair from her face and takes a deep breath. "I was banished. I communicated with an ancestor I should not have. Forgive me, but I will not go into detail just yet. You'll have to treat me to a couple of drinks first."
In truth, Obelza had communicated with no such spirit. She truly believed that she had, though, causing a rift between her and her shaman, which led to her banishment.
