Born on the Deep Cold to Norlanders, as the second child to father Feivish and mother Mirele, Pitseleh lived modestly. Though never rich or noble by any means, the Palebrookes made life seem as though it was in the hands of a clock, ticking down to a fateful moment that would prove all is well. PItseleh was the middle child, growing up with older sister Fruma and younger sister Blima. Grandfather Alter was Pitseleh's dearest friend and mentor. Alter had taught Pitseleh at age 6 how to find the safe fruit to eat in the wild, and how to carve utensils out of tree logs. All was good when Alter was with the family. Alter passed peacefully before Pitseleh's 11th birthday. Alter had told PItseleh he would teach him to read and write, however his time had ended before that lesson could be shared. Pitseleh would spend only seven years with his family in the cold mountains before a dispute between father Feivish and son would arise. Being the only male born to the couple, Feivish naturally wanted Pitseleh to enlist in the Northguard. Pitseleh's cautious behavior and meek stature however, served as a total opposition to father's wishes. Pitseleh departed from the homestead and has been living the past year as a farmhand to miscellaneous men.

Pitseleh's glazed eyes had finally flickered on after hours of deep-thought when he was spoken to by the gentleman, an act they would further by darting towards him in an act of respect. The man posed a good question; what had he came for? It certainly was not due to any extraordinary aspirations, nor filthy wealth. After what had seemed like an hour's pause, (though realistically it had been at most fifteen seconds,) Pitseleh had rolled his shoulders and readjusted his thick coat. "Sir," His tranquil voice whisked out between his cracked lips, "I believe the city brought me here to answer that for me."
