Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"oh, ok" The halfling starts with a heavy breath.
"How about a story?" He says with a hope before sitting down.
"There was an old elf librarian that loved to write poems," He said with passion
"One day He found a halfling baby with afraid eyes on his doorstep, The old elf had nothing to do with this baby" He said with an empty heart.
"He looked for somebody to take in this baby, but nobody would do it..." He said slowly hiding his tears.
"Then he remembered a text he read when he was a kid --Don't be afraid to kind, Be kind to afraid-- and he took in the baby with afraid eyes" he said with more tears appearing.
"The two lived together for years until elf's took the halfling from the old elf, but now the halfling lives by that text wishing and doing the best" He said with tears of joy and sadness dropping down.
"Thank you" The halfling ends with a crying voice.
