Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Why should I?" Kaen's face is full of uncertainty and a lack of trust. Last time they trusted someone they were poisoned, the white of their eyes now black from the aftermath.
The old hag stares deep in their eyes and they reluctantly share their tale.
"Fine. Well, as a child I would help my father craft bows in Nevaehlen and my mother... well I don't know too much about her. She left after I was born. All I know about her is that she was a High Elf - hence by blue eyes and white hair - and that she didn't mean to have me with my father who is a Wood Elf. After growing up in Nevaeheln I took up my father's craft and also learned how to run a tavern from my uncle - much to my father's dismay. I was taught how to fight by my big sister after she learned it from a friend who is a knight. And, well... here I am. I'm travelling to learn about this world and to hopefully learn how to improve my craft."
They meet the old hag's stare and they seem content with the information Kaen gave them.
