    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It causes an imbalance in an exchange of information, and how you proceed forward with the writing and roleplay of events and characters. It's being handed, when you yourself have to work for gain.

Character Gender: Female
Character Age: 21
Physical Description: Below average height, modest amount of curve to her frame, brunette, green-eyed, fair-skinned. She wore a deerskin vest with a tunic, trousers, boots.
Roleplay Scenario:

Wood rot filled Penelope's senses, moss an afterthought. The road before her led through a swamp, with what its gnarled trees and dimly lit cabins, until the Highlander came upon a gathering of tents. One was more particularly tattered than the rest. She ducked past its cloth to be met with candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent where the candles' light could not quite reach, sat an old woman. She was surrounded by flower-shaped pillows, books left open. She raised her head.

 

"What brings you to me, dear? To this dingy town?" The woman pursed her dry lips, paused to study Penelope's features.

 

"Ahh, it's you! Ms. Von Kougen, I've been expecting you!" A smile beams across her wrinkles, motioning to sit. "I would like to hear your story directly, if you will."

 

Penelope hesitated knowing she had gotten this far. What was a few steps more? The blonde could not help but turn to glance outside the tent. She did as she was told with a deep breath.
