His home raided by a horde of bandits by night, Kynne has nothing left to look back to where his house and family once stood. The war in the dwarf realm completely destabilized the region. He made an unmarked gravestone for his kinfolk that died during the raid and is the sole survivor as far as he knows. He saw unspeakable things happen to his loved ones, there's sadly nothing to turn back to. It is time to move on. Kynne walked for miles on end looking for the realm of Iryalen. He heard there were some peaceful folk living around these parts of the world and wished for nothing more than that. Aside from adventuring and self defense Kynne never had much interest for fighting. Hopefully he will find peace in these foreign lands.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

"I eh..." an uneasy feeling creeps up on Kynne's stomach as he looks for an answer that doesn't evoke the pain of the situation he just got out of. "I'm a traveler looking for a new place to call home" he continues, relieved he didn't take too long with it. "I come from a place I can't return too sadly, but I wish to leave that in the past. A fresh start and not to look back is what I need. I'm not a criminal or such, but a fresh start I need nonetheless" He smiles and looks at her biting away the pain whilst fighting some tears. Hopefully answering that question will become easier with time.
