    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: forcing something on another player without them being able to react

Thaln Ravencaller, son of thon Ravencaller, is a promissing warrior and combat commander even though he is relatively young for a dwarf he has seen many battles, these battles have ended in victory but also in defeat. He got into tha grand dwarven army because of his father who was a battle veteran but who lost his live in an orcish ambush. as a young dwarven boy he swore to avenge his fathers death. As he was now an orphan he had to make money on his own and he did this by smithing armor and weapons. After making armor for 20 years for the grand dwarven army he had not seen any battle with his own eyes, only tales told by men buying his armor. But then their was an orcish attack on the settlement he was living in at the moment. In this battle he had to defend the eastern gate where he slayed 29 orcs all by himself. After the battle he was seen as a hero and as a true warrior of the grand dwarven army. now he has been a soldier for over 5 years and fought in big and small battles but he still seeks revenge for the death of his father.

Physical Description: average sized dwarf with yellow-orangy hair with a long beard, scar under left eye, two axes, broad sholders and a belly.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
