Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Uhm.. I.." Rurik stuttered, tensing up. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…

"I was abandoned at a really young age..? I barely know my mom and I never got to see my dad.. My mom was on the run from The Princedom of Caurost after close family and friends found out she had been sleeping with a Wood Elf.  Mom was a High Elf so it  was pretty appa lling news to her closest family and friends..." He took a minute, wiping his tears and trying to relax to get the pang of pain and guilt out of the bottom of his stomach. When he thought he was ready, he had tried to murmur a sentence but had to cut himself off to take a deep breath again, "S-sorry.. I've never been like this in front of somebody.." After clearing his throat and taking deep breaths he continues, "I was left just outside of The Isle of Nevaehlen when my mom went missing. My dad died just a little after I was born.. I was about three weeks old when I lost my dad and six years old when I lost my mom..? I survived by watching nature take its course and learning from different creatures in that forest. I slowly developed skills for hiding in the shadows, archery, and sneak attacks just in case I had to actually deal with people.. I always hid my face or tried painting it with mud in order to hide the fact that I'm mostly High Elf. I only got my father's traits through his eyes and hair.. When I was old enough I began to sneak my way into The Isle of Nevaehlen, either by sneaking past the guards when they accidentally left the gate open or by following close behind in the shadows as someone entered themselves. I bought my food and clothing and weapons.. but never got close, relationship wise, to anybody out of fear." He grabbed at the back of his neck, scratching it with a soft chuckle, "Sorry.."
