Henry was a peasant living in a relatively normal village where food was plentiful and enough to survive in the winters.
He is born into a Heartlander culture, his mother being a bardswoman who sang in the inns of the town, his father an architect that was called into the war of the Two Emperors and coming back barely living.
When Henry was a teenager he worked in the same Inn his mother worked in, working as a server.
One night one of the people that was drinking ended up drunk and getting into a fight. Henry tried breaking up the fight but lost an eye.
His father was disappointed telling him to not get into fights that are not yours but Henry wanted to help out.
Henry moved out of his house looking for a place to live in, He found the County of Ayr and decided to move into there.
Now he hopes to gain some glory, participate in some great war and be renowned for his actions but that is yet to see.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
