    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: To metagame would be to utilize out of character (OOC) information to one's benefit in the in character (IC) environment. The same may also apply in vice versa.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: To powergame would be to try and enact implausibly unstoppable actions upon another character, to which this character would not be presented any chance of evading or countering.

Just short of gaining his full bearings upon this new locale, Corentin finds himself approached by this gentleman, one brimming with affluence. Corentin keeps his hands clasped together, fixed at his back with the curtest respect - so had father taught him - as he surveys this gentleman up and down. "My thanks, sir," he would reply, gleaming at the man's rich attire. "Adventure sounds curious, wealth even moreso." Corentin feels his fingers rap against his knuckles at his rear-side as he continues, "But grand aspirations? For a mere sower as myself? I wonder if you have the wrong man, sir." Corentin would eye the ground beneath the gentleman's feet before proceeding. "But, sir, I am seeking the conclaves of the Church of the Canon - I wonder if you could point me thither?" And hence, Corentin would further study the gentleman as he awaits his response.
