Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
Himawari politely does as told, sitting down on the cushion by the hag. She steadies her posture, a distant look in her eyes, as though her mind is somewhere far away.
''I come from a kabuki family, I live as a geisha. I take great pride in my family's history,'' the distant look in her eye, changes to determination at the mention of family, ''I long to be even more powerful, to protect them.''
For a while she sits in silence, like shes sorting something out in her mind, she soon snaps out of it ''...My father is a great man, talented at his craft. My two younger siblings have also shown much promise,'' her brow furrows, and her lips shake ''I've inhereted some strength myself. I want to utilize it, so I can help if any danger is to be brought upon my family.'' Sudden emotion overtakes her eyes once again, her voice rises to match, ''I want to live a good life! I want them all to live a good life!'' behind all the worry in her voice, there is passion, and pride. She takes a few deep breaths, fixing her posture, before speaking once more ''Father puts much effort into his plays at the theater. My brother seems to be following suit,'' a smile forms on her face, it brightens her up ''My sister and I are both training to become geisha. As frightening as the unforseeable future is, I am excited to see what it has in store for me and my family. That is my resolve to fight. To protect.'' Himawari closes her eyes, content.
