Characters Biography

Joran Tolmar was born out of wedlock to a overbearing mother and a father who he never met. His mother Anne, struggled to give him an upbringing for a few years of his life until he hit Eleven. When he hit Elven a Elvish family moved into the village. Their daughter, the Sixteen years old Elf Linduill tutored him for nearly eight years, teaching him everything from cleaning to cooking. When he hit Eighteen she brought him into the Elvish way of archery. Him and her spent months together, training to hunt animals ranging from rabbit to elk and on one fateful day a bear. During his Nineteenth birthday she took him to hunt in the woods located close by. After a while of hunting they came across a bear cave, although at the time did not appear as so. They ventured through, discovering not long after that they were not alone and from the shadows came a large black bear. It attacked, severely clawing at the both. Linduill caught the brunt of its attack and most of its attention, ravaging and mutilating her. Joran did nothing but stand and watch. A local group of hunters came to their aid after hearing the cries for help but they was too late. After the bear was killed, Joran could no longer stare people in the eye.

Years passed and he remained in solitary, hiding himself from everyone, even his depressive mother and the grief stricken Elvish family who held resentment towards him after her death. In day he would hide, along in a cabin not far from the village and at night would wander the woods, alone. After hitting Twenty-Five he fled the village, abandoning any residence who lived there in favour of venturing West towards the Kingdoms of Mann. On his journey he came across a Circus, occupied by a Stout Elvish man name Nemuill, the Halfling Acrobat Hilderk Frogfoot and the young Human Woman, Vala. He joined them, helped them forage for food and would sometimes even perform but for a few months he forgot about Linduill and her family. He became exceptionally close to Vala and the two became a pair, on their arrival into a small town in Ceru, they married and not long after stopped wandering the land and took up housing in Galahar. Years passed and by 35 he and his wife Vala bore two children, his son Gerard and his daughter, Nila. Life became good for Joran, too good and eventually the darkness met him once again.

On a trip outside of the town they were ambushed by a party of orcs. A fight ensued and during the conflict he was wounded, impaled through the chest by an Orcish blade. He awoke not long after accompanied by five corpses. Two of which were of Orcish born. The other three remained as his family. He grieved for four days and four nights eventually he buried them outside of Galahar. The next month he did not leave their side, scaring away men, elf and dwarf alike going so far as to murder an Orcish man who passed by the gravesite whistling. After months of grieving he finally rose and left, disappearing into the wilds without words with nothing but his sword and bow with him. He has been unable to visit the graves of his family following the collapse of Aegis and has ever since wandered, working when work is needed and sleeping when sleep is needed. His name is not muttered, his identity is not know and he has simply become a drifter, abandoning any sense of fellowship and wandering the plains...
